Ethics Policy

Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

The International Journal of Multidisciplinary Evolutionary Research is committed to maintaining the highest ethical standards throughout the publication process. It is essential that all participants—authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher—adhere to the following principles to prevent malpractice and uphold the integrity of academic scholarship across all disciplines.

1. Duties of Authors
Originality and Plagiarism

Authors must submit only original works. The use of others’ ideas, data, or text must be appropriately cited and acknowledged. Any form of plagiarism—including self-plagiarism—is unethical and unacceptable.

Multiple Submissions
Authors must not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal at the same time. Simultaneous submissions to multiple journals constitute unethical publishing behavior.

Accuracy and Data Integrity
Authors are responsible for presenting accurate, well-documented, and reproducible data. Data falsification, manipulation, or misrepresentation is strictly prohibited. Authors should clearly explain their research design, methodology, and analysis across all subject areas.

Conflict of Interest
All authors must disclose any financial or non-financial conflicts of interest that may influence their research, including funding sources, institutional affiliations, or personal relationships. Full transparency ensures that readers can assess the research without bias.

2. Duties of Editors
Fair Play

Editors evaluate manuscripts solely on the basis of academic merit—regardless of the authors’ race, gender, ethnicity, religion, nationality, or political views.

Confidentiality
Editors must protect the confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts. No information should be disclosed to anyone other than those directly involved in the editorial process (i.e., the corresponding author, reviewers, and relevant editorial staff).

Conflict of Interest
Editors must recuse themselves from decisions on manuscripts where they have competing interests. They are responsible for ensuring that all ethical publishing standards are upheld and must take appropriate actions in cases of suspected malpractice.

3. Duties of Reviewers
Confidentiality

Manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents. Reviewers must not share or discuss the manuscript with others unless authorized by the editor.

Objectivity
Reviews must be conducted objectively and professionally. Reviewers should provide constructive, unbiased feedback intended to improve the manuscript. Personal or defamatory remarks are inappropriate.

Acknowledgment of Sources
Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors and report any substantial similarity or overlap with other published materials. They must alert the editor to any concerns related to plagiarism or unethical behavior.

Thank you for contributing to the ethical and academic integrity of the International Journal of Multidisciplinary Evolutionary Research. Upholding these values ensures that our journal remains a trusted source of scholarly knowledge across diverse disciplines.
